What Is The 1st Baptist Truth Project About?
This project is about clarifying to U.S. courts the independence and autonomy of Baptist churches. It has been argued that all Southern Baptists exist in a hierarchy with the Southern Baptist Convention as the supreme governing authority. This places our missionaries and mission dollars at risk in lawsuits. We are calling upon the SBC Executive Committee to clarify to U.S. courts who Baptists are. Without God’s divine intervention, the plots of man to operate SBC entities in corrupt and broken ways will continue unchecked. We need God to move in the courts, in the hearts of SBC leadership, and to bring healing to our great convention. Sign The Petition
Show your support for the Baptist Truth Project by signing a petition to ask the Executive Committee of the SBC to file an amicus brief to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. This will help the courts properly understand Baptist polity and make rulings that will be “wins” for religious liberty. Support
